1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the HireByHour application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

HireByHour is a marketplace platform that connects individuals seeking to hire workers ("Hirers") with individuals offering their services ("Workers"). The App facilitates the posting of tasks, bidding on tasks, communication between parties, and payment processing.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to circumvent our payment system
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the App
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

5. Task Posting and Bidding

Hirers may post tasks with descriptions, locations, and hourly rates. Workers may submit bids on tasks. Acceptance of a bid creates a binding agreement between the Hirer and Worker. Both parties agree to fulfil their obligations in good faith.

6. Trial Hour System

All tasks begin with a mandatory trial hour. Payment for the trial hour is collected upfront. At the end of the trial hour, both parties must confirm whether to continue. Either party may decline to continue without penalty during the trial period.

7. Payments and Fees

HireByHour charges a platform fee on completed tasks. All payments are processed through our secure payment provider. Hirers are charged for completed work, and Workers receive payment after task completion, minus applicable fees. Refunds for cancelled tasks are calculated on a pro-rata basis.

8. Cancellation Policy

Either party may cancel a task at any time by providing a reason. If work has commenced, payment will be calculated based on time worked. Repeated cancellations may result in account restrictions.

9. Ratings and Reviews

Users may rate and review each other after task completion. Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experiences. HireByHour reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

HireByHour is a platform connecting Hirers and Workers. We are not responsible for the quality of work performed, disputes between users, or any damages arising from use of the App. Users engage with each other at their own risk.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HireByHour, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the App. Continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
