About us
Local help, made simple
HireByHour is built and run by Amesium Limited, a small company based in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire.
Why we built it
Getting a hand with a short job is harder than it should be. Most jobs, like tidying a garden, putting up shelves or helping with a move, only take a few hours. But finding someone usually means asking around, waiting for quotes, and hoping it works out.
At the same time, plenty of people nearby have spare hours and the skills to help, but no easy way to find that kind of work.
HireByHour puts the two together. Jobs are paid by the hour at a rate you can see up front, and every job starts with a one-hour paid trial, so both sides can see it's a good fit before committing to more.
Starting in Cumbernauld
We're launching in Cumbernauld first, so we can get it right for one community before we grow. If you live nearby, we'd love you to try it, whether you need help or want to work.
